coolux Releases Pandoras Box Version 5

coolux Pandoras Box Version 5 is the next step in the development of the award winning Pandoras Box product family. For the first time ever, it is now possible to use Pandoras Box all the way from the inception of a project idea, right up until the actual production.

The five most distinct highlights of this groundbreaking new release include:

Video export and recording: The video export allows users to greatly improve their work flow and export entire scenes as HD video while having the flexibility of a real-time editing system, the company says. For live video ingest, you can now record and capture from any live input source up to 2K/HD.

Aeon FX Engine: The dynamic shader effects engine enables users to create and combine an almost unlimited number of effects, the company says. All effects and animations are automatically synchronized across the system network.

FireFly 3D Particle System. FireFly allows for the creation of elaborate real-time particle effects in a true interactive 3D compositing space, the company says. Various emitters can be setup and applied with forces such as wind and gravity.

QUAD HD Output. The new QUAD Server and QUAD Player workstations offer users up to four independent HD DVI outputs with built-in EDID management.

ASIO Multi-Channel Audio. Pandoras Box Manager software now supports ASIO audio interfaces and offers synchronized multi-channel audio playback.

On the hardware side, the new members of coolux product family include a number of new server types streamlined for dedicated applications, in addition to hardware based Pandoras Box Player turnkey solutions.

The Pandoras Box DUAL server is a multi-purpose system that can be used for projects in a large variety of markets including (but not limited to) the event, theatre, broadcast, touring, and/or installation sectors.

The new Pandoras Box QUAD Server systems are designed for projects that require multiple outputs. They are suitable for large-scale panoramic projections, interactive digital signage projects and fixed installations.

The Pandoras Box BROADCAST Server offers broadcast professionals a dual 3G/HD-SDI output solution. It features 2x low latency HD-SDI inputs. Along with its ability to offer sub-scanline level synchronization to external sync sources, it can be used for multi-system and multi-display applications.

All servers are available in three editions: LT, STD and PRO.

Also, the new QUAD and DUAL Player hardware systems combine the versatility of the Player software only solution with multiple outputs and industry leading graphics power. Both the QUAD and the DUAL Player are suited for permanent installations and high definition multimedia displays.

In addition, the Pandoras Box Player LT offers a cost-effective solution for basic video and projection displays, the company says. This synchronized digital signage Player completes the software-only Player family, which is now available as either LT, STD or PRO.

The new Pandoras Box EDITOR is an advanced real-time rendering system that combines non-linear editing and 3D compositing tools. It enables designers and content creators alike to harness the creative powers of the Pandoras Box product family without the need to buy any additional hardware processors.
