Fulcrum Acoustic Adds Four Models to RM + RX Series Loudspeakers
After premiering the RM28ac installation loudspeaker at Infocomm, Fulcrum Acoustic has announced further details of its new Rmac product range. The latest additions to the RM installation loudspeaker series, the Rmac products provide self-powered amplification, negating the need for an external amplifier and DSP equipment.
The company says the RM series of reference monitors provide the accuracy, pristine imaging and precise transient response required of the most critical studio applications, but with the high output capability demanded by high-energy genres. With the new, "ac" version, signal levels, amplifier status, and a full array of input filters and delay may all be accessed via Ethernet, using Armonia Pro Audio Suite control software. The additions to the series include the RM28ac, RM22ac, and RM25ac-dual 8-, 12-, and 15" monitors, respectively.
The RM line is designed for recording studios, cinemas, museum exhibit spaces, A/V production suites, multimedia presentation facilities, and high-end home theatres.
By adding the RX599 to its RX series, the company offers an alternative size to their recently announced RX699. The RX599 is a 5.25" single-amplified, two-way coaxial loudspeaker, featuring a high-efficiency transducer and horn-loaded HF compression driver that give it a surprisingly high output-to-size ratio. The RX599 and RX699 are well-suited to front row fill and stage lip applications, underbalcony/delay fill applications or anywhere that size is severely restricted, but output and articulation are required.
