Elation Offers New Color Temperature Controllable Soft Lights for Broadcast

Elation Professional's TVL Panel DW

Elation Professional offers a pair of new soft lights for broadcast, TV, and film lighting, the TVL Softlight DW and TVL Panel DW. Both luminaires house cool white and warm white LEDs with linear color temperature control for a wide choice of variable shade projections from warm white tungsten to cool white daylight.

Uniform flat-field output combines with conveniences like dimmer and color temperature rotary control dials for simple projections of variable white light. White color reproduction is of the highest quality with a CRI at or over 95 for more accurate color reproduction. They include useful design features like smooth 16-bit dimming, variable dimming curve effects, and electronic strobe, and each fixture includes eight-leaf adjustable and removable barn doors for accurate projections with no light spill.

The new TVL Softlight DW is a dynamic white, soft light luminaire with 240 cool white and 240 warm white LEDs and a beam angle of 130-degrees. Linear white color temperature is variable from 3,200K - 5,600K, an ideal soft light for broadcast/film environments or anywhere a wash of high quality soft light is required.

The new TVL Panel DW is a dynamic white soft light luminaire with 480 cool white and 480 warm white LEDs and a beam angle of 150-degrees. Linear white color temperature is variable from 3,000K - 5,400K, an ideal soft light for broadcast/film environments or anywhere a wash of high quality soft light is required.

Common features in both the TVL Softlight DW and TVL Panel DW are controllable via multiple DMX channel modes and come with five-pin DMX in/out, RJ45 etherCON (Art-Net) and powerCON TRUE1 connections. They come with a 180-degree reversible LCD menu display and a four-button touch control panel for simple navigation through DMX and manual settings. And, multiple unit power linking means that customizable setups are quick.

Both luminaires operate flicker free for use in TV and other broadcast applications and an auto-sensing power supply covers worldwide voltages and frequencies. Both the TVL Softlight DW and TVL Panel DW are energy efficient and offer other benefits of LED like greater reliability and less maintenance for a lower cost of ownership.
