Flat, Honest Studio Subwoofer Support from Subwoofer Pros Now Includes 60Hz or 95Hz Low-Pass Switch

True to its name, Subwoofer Pros builds subwoofers that produce flat, honest bass, allowing audio professionals to make low-frequency decisions with the confidence that those decisions will translate to any other playback system. Both of its models -- the smaller Studio Sub 12 and the larger Studio Sub 18 -- avoid the profusion of adjustable parameters found on consumer-grade subwoofers, instead providing simple, but effective, control. In that spirit, Subwoofer Pros announces the addition of a 60Hz or 95Hz low-pass switch for flexible integration with differently-sized mains. Subwoofer Pros' US distributor, TransAudio Group, displayed Subwoofer Pros at the Winter NAMM show, last week at the Anaheim Convention Center.

"The new 60Hz/95Hz low-pass is a strategic tweak to the Subwoofer Pros design that will make it even easier to dial in a well-balanced mix with any set of studio monitors," said Brad Lunde, founder and president of TransAudio Group. "I called it 'strategic' because it adds that flexibility without over-complicating things. And of course, over-complicating subwoofer controls tends to defeat the goal of seamless integration." The new low-pass switch replaces a previous 8Hz/20Hz low-cut switch, which few users had occasion to use. The new units all have a fixed 8Hz low-cut.

The Studio Sub 12 and Studio Sub 18 are now shipping.
