Lighthouse and TS Sports Put LED Video Display Constellation Field

Lighthouse and TS Sports have installed four 20mm LED video screens at Constellation Field, in Sugar Land, Texas, home of the Atlantic League baseball team Sugar Land Skeeters.

The main screen, fitted within a Lone Star State silhouette, is comprised of nearly 100 individual 20mm LED video panels, and measures 59' wide by 25' high. Before the game, the main screen helps early arrivers get a closer look at fan-oriented pre-game events, such as Mascot Dodgeball. During the game, it fills the new stadium with colorful animations, sponsor messages, Skeeters replays and player introductions, and custom video. The first base and third base auxiliary screens, each 38' wide and just over three feet high, augment and coordinate with the main LED video screen's content. A 34' outfiled ribbon, also built from Lighthouse 20mm LED video panels, completes the system and keep Skeeters fans informed of scores and statistics around the Atlantic League.

"Lighthouse is happy to be a part of Sugar Land's new Constellation Field," says Ed Whitaker, Lighthouse Jumbovision N.A.S.A. director of Sales. "Lighthouse is intensely interested in minor league baseball, and the new stadium in Sugar Land is the kind of project we really enjoy."

Constellation Field is a new state-of-the-art multipurpose Triple-A ballpark that features amenities to accommodate other sports including football, soccer, lacrosse, cheerleading, and band competitions, etc., as well as concerts, group outings, and scout sleepovers. Total ballpark capacity is approximately 7,500 for baseball (expandable to 10,000) and 9,500 in concert configuration. The new park's amenities include approximately 21 Suites, upper level club seating, a year-round meeting / dining / entertainment space, picnic deck, and extensive playground facilities.

With 1,500 sq. ft. of main LED video display and over 100 linear feet of façade and outfield LED video -- approximately 400,000 individual LED video pixels -- Lighthouse 20mm panels fire up Sugar Land fans, and give Constellation Field the "wow factor" so important in a new home. Lighthouse's 20mm main and auxiliary displays present real-time statistics, sponsor messages, and crowd-wowing animations, features that allow the Sugar Land technical crew to combine the summertime excitement and nostalgia of live baseball with the cutting-edge creature comforts of home.

"Teaming with TS Sports," Whitaker adds, "enables Lighthouse to provide big league video to minor league venues such as Sugar Land. Constellation Field is yet another example of Lighthouse's commitment to delivering the best in LED video to America's stadiums and arenas."
