Drape Kings Continues Partnership with Madame Tussauds New York

Madame Tussauds NY reveal for The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon

Drape Kings NY Metro has been working in concert with the legendary museum Madame Tussauds New York for their ongoing celebrity wax figure reveals. These reveals, including Pharrell Williams, Ed Sheeran, and soccer star Lionel Messi, continue an ongoing staging partnership, culminating in the recent, record-breaking five wax figure reveal of The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon.

These Drape Kings produced events, often featuring the stars themselves viewing their extraordinarily lifelike figure for the first time, vary in presentation from a dramatic Kabuki drop with full proscenium staging and step and repeat backdrop to a simpler Red Supervel pullback reveal with an LED star drape backdrop. Drape Kings' New York business development manager, Tod Buchanan, states "I always enjoy meetings with Madame Tussaud's. They are great to work with, and I love their attention to detail. It is almost impossible to tell who is wax, and who is real, because the wax figures look so life like. They also give us the opportunity to be creative, and run with an idea, to make the unveiling awesome. I look forward to many more events with them."

Throughout their collaboration, Drape Kings and Madame Tussauds NY have broken not one but two records in the company's 200+ year history. The first record breaking event was the February 2013 reveal of a previously unprecedented four figures featuring the late, Grammy Award-winning singer Whitney Houston. That record was broken this past March when Drape Kings once again partnered with Madame Tussauds for the reveal of Jimmy Fallon's five figures. Additional reveals featuring the staging work of Drape Kings included Mad Men's John Hamm in character as "Don Draper," 70's musical icons Abba in a reveal featuring the leading ladies of Broadway's Mamma Mia, Modern Family's Sophia Vergara and Marvel comic book legend "The Hulk."

Regarding the successful, ongoing event partnership between the two creative companies, Madame Tussauds New York's Blaine McCurry states "Drape Kings has been our event production 'go-to(s)' for several years and have proven time and time again why they are the leaders in the industry in NYC. We'll be using them for many years to come!"
