Claypaky Ultimo Sharpy Powers the Visual Experience at Dystopia Festival with Scene de Nuit

Claypaky's Ultimo Sharpy fixtures, added to Scene de Nuit's lighting inventory in 2025, have become a key element of the visual identity of the Dystopia Festival. Following their successful debut, the fixtures were deployed across both the 2025 and 2026 editions, supporting the festival throughout its multi-city journey, from Saint-Etienne and Mulhouse to the grand finale in Rennes.

Dedicated to the worlds of Hard Music and Techno, Dystopia Festival brings together around 40 artists across two stages, each featuring a distinctive creative concept. Designed to deliver fully immersive experiences, the stages are enhanced by custom-built scenic elements developed in the Netherlands, where the original Dystopia concept was born.

Within this striking production, the Ultimo Sharpy played a pivotal role in shaping the festival's dynamic lighting design. Combining exceptional output, ultra-fast movements, and an extensive effects package, the fixtures delivered the intensity, precision, and versatility required to elevate every performance. The project seeks to demonstrate the Ultimo Sharpy's ability to excel in demanding large-scale outdoor productions.

The Scene de Nuit team immediately recognized the advantages offered by the fixtures.

"We chose the Ultimo Sharpy because it meets all of our performance requirements," comments the team. "Its IP66 rating is a major benefit for outdoor events. From a technical perspective, it's incredibly smooth, fast, and responsive. The light output is outstanding, with excellent brightness, impressive luminous flux, and very accurate color reproduction. On top of that, its optimized size-to-weight ratio makes transportation, rigging, and installation significantly easier."

"The feedback has been outstanding," the team added. "Both our technicians and the production companies that rent these fixtures consistently praise their reliability and performance on site. It's premium equipment that has quickly become one of our preferred solutions, and we use it with confidence across many different productions."

The Dystopia Festival brought together a team of leading technical and creative specialists to deliver a seamless visual experience, including Scène de Nuit (NT Event), MSE Event, Concept K (Lighting), Showlive SFX (Special Effects), VJ Antoine Bahuaud, and TheVicVision, set designer for the Hard Stage.
