German popstar Andreas Bourani is currently out on an arena tour of Germany in support of his latest album HEY, with a slick and stylish lighting design by Nik Evers using Clay Paky Mythos and A.leda B-EYE K20 fixtures.

Evers -- who also designed the staging and video content alongside Timo Marten and Philip Hillers -- has specified the highly advanced hybrid light Mythos and the LED wash and effects light B-EYE from Black Box Music.

Positioned on the floor of the B-stage surrounding Bourani and the band, Evers is employing the sharp and precise beams of the Mythos to create a range of beat-perfect looks.

"The Mythos are really powerful which is ideal for this show," he explains. "as their power means their beams stay incredibly bright even when using color," he explains.

Evers' design is based on the Andreas Bourani logo and sees the main stage at a 45-degree angle to allow the band to be closer to the audience.

"We are using the B-EYEs as a side and back light for the band to provide a soft wash," continues Evers. "The color range they offer is crucial for this show, especially their range of white tones."

The Clay Paky B-EYE K20 has a total of 37 RGBW LEDs, which can be controlled individually. It is brighter than any LED-wash with the same rated power thanks to its special optical unit with an impressive lumen to watt ratio. The zoom ranges from 4- to 60-degrees, making it suitable both for smaller venues with low ceilings and for arena shows.

"Both fixtures are also powerful enough to hold their own against the video element," says Evers. "We're very pleased with how they're performing."

Andreas Bourani continues to tour Germany throughout May.
