Yorkville Sound Announces CA4 Coliseum Installation Amplifier Yorkville Sound has announced the CA4 Coliseum Installation Amplifier, a flexible four-zone power amplifier designed for retail, restaurant, office, worship, and other installed sound applications. The rack-mountable CA4 features five input channels that can be assigned to four output zones, making it easy to configure audio for multiple spaces from a single amplifier, the company says. Channels 1 through 4 feature mic/line inputs with switchable phantom power, while channel 5 provides stereo RCA auxiliary inputs summed to mono. Each of the CA4's four output zones includes 4O, 70V, and 100V connections, allowing the amplifier to integrate with a wide variety of commercial and installed speaker systems. Built-in media playback adds even more flexibility, with a Bluetooth receiver and USB-A media input for playback from wireless devices or USB flash drives. Each input channel also includes two-band EQ, with reverb available on inputs 1 and 2. For installations requiring greater vocal clarity and projection, each output zone features a switchable Outdoor voicing, which limits low-frequency bandwidth to optimize performance in challenging environments.
