AV9000 Certified Quality Designer (CQD) and Quality Technician (CQT) Workshops Offered in Las Vegas

Kramer Electronics will be offering both classes simultaneously; choose either the Quality Assurance Technician (CQT) workshop or the Quality Assurance Designer (CQD) workshop, June 14 - 16, hosted by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

AQAV is an organization that is dedicated to improving the operational art of designing and installing audio visual technology. Engineered audio visual systems continue to become more complex and difficult to integrate. By focusing on the quality management of these systems, and of those who design and install them, we can benefit the AV industry and all its stakeholders: including clients and users of AV technology, AV designers and installers, equipment manufacturers, related construction and architectural firms, and the environment. The AQAV Certification program is designed to deliver zero defect AV systems the first time; every time.

Certified Quality Technician course outline:
• General
o Quality principles and definitions
• AV system commissioning
• Instrumentation
• Monitoring and measurement checklists
• Reports
• Practicum
• Examination and registration

CQT prerequisites: InfoComm CTS or four years experience in AV design and installation.

Certified Quality Designer course outline:
• Quality principles and definitions
• Fundamentals of auditing AV; working within a QMS (Quality Management System)
• Contract review
• Client performance checklist; AV metrics
• AV calculations
• Design review/engineering review
• The design review report
• Practicum
• Examination and registration

CQD Prerequisites: InfoComm CTS-D or four years design of engineered audio visual systems.

Each Course is a three-day workshop, breakfast and lunch is included. Costs: $2,150 per individual training non-members ($1,650 members), includes AQAV membership, instruction, and materials, and certification examination. Completion of either course will earn the attendee 24 InfoComm RU's.

Course fees must be paid prior to attending the class. Lodging and travel expenses are not included.
