Cadac Moves into Live and Rental Sectors with Launch of CUK Live at PLASA

CADAC at PLASA: (top L - R) CDC Eight, CDC Four, (bottom L - R) S-Type, LIVE1

Cadac moves firmly into the live sound sales and rental channels with the launch of CUK Live at PLASA 2012. CUK Live is the new, dedicated live sector distribution division of CUK Audio being launched at this year's exhibition. The division is built around the Glasgow-based company's three core live sound brands, Cadac, Powersoft, and Clair Bros. Cadac is exhibiting in stand 1-G11 at PLASA, in London's Earls Court, running September 9-12.

Already a force in the pro audio installation market, where it exclusively distributes Audica, Community, Listen, MTSi, Sabine, SACOM, Pan Beam, Phonic, Symetrix, t&mSystems and Televic, the company has seen a significant growth in live sound business in recent years. "With our expanding portfolio of high profile brands, CUK Audio has seen a greatly increased percentage of our sales in the live sector," explains managing director Stuart Thomson, "Our business is built on the high level of support and service we give our customers, and maintaining this standard for the live sector now requires a more focused approach. Many distributors claim to service all markets, but one always wins out to the detriment of the others. With a separate division we can be sure we are completely focused on the needs of customers in the live and rental markets."

CUK Live's approach to the live sound industry is based on its select product portfolio, of which CADAC is a major plank, presenting the company with a unique mixer brand of unrivalled heritage and with a brand new product line up, the company says. "Our plans for CUK Live have been developed over some time," continues Thomson, Taking on Cadac's new product range after last year's PLASA show was a milestone in our strategy. This year's PLASA is the perfect time to launch the new division, and we have a lot to talk about with our three major brands. In terms of Cadac we have an exceptional offering, with a comprehensive range of powerful, high-quality analogue and digital consoles and the arrival of full production samples of the CDC Four and CDC Eight."

A full team of Cadac sales and engineering personnel will be in attendance on the CUK Live stand throughout the show. Commenting on the significance of the launch of the new distribution division for Cadac, international sales manager Ben Millson states, "The decision by CUK to focus its considerable resources on the live sound sector with a dedicated division has come at an ideal time for Cadac. Our CDC Four, CDC Eight, LIVE1, and S-Type console range spans the full breadth of live sound applications, from precision control and sound design for fixed installations, to full scale touring and theatre productions. The wealth of engineering experience, expertise, and unrivalled quality, manifest in our heritage and reputation for our hand built large scale consoles has gone into the design and manufacture of these models."

"We are highly confident that our product offering and CUK Live's potential as a distributor in this sector is a winning combination and a major development in the UK live sound industry," concludes Millson.
