NEXO Sound Entertains NAMM Show Visitors on the Grand Plaza Stage The Yamaha Grand Plaza Stage is the central hub for live performances, concerts, and artist showcases at the 125th Anniversary NAMM Show which opened yesterday, January 22, in Anaheim California. As usual, this large outdoor stage is rigged with a NEXO STM sound system deployed by Minneapolis-based Reach Communications, and will this year see performances from artists including Grammy nominees The War and Treaty, Nashville breakout star Alana Springsteen, Quincy Jones protege Shelea and piano prodigy turned viral sensation Ethan Bortnick. With on-site support from Bertrand Billon of NEXO's France-based ES Team, the team at Reach have configured their STM inventory into ten per side double hangs of 10 each M46 Main and B112 Bass Extension modules with 2 x M28 Down fills, and NEXO MSUB18s in cardioid and RS18s in end fire configurations on the floor. Front and side fill duties are performed by NEXO GEO M line array elements, and stage monitoring by NEXO's versatile P12 point source speakers. Amplification and processing for the system come from racks of NXAMPMk2 Powered TD Controllers and shows are mixed on Yamaha Rivage digital consoles. Meanwhile in the Convention Centre, NAMM delegates can get up close to NEXO GEO M, P+ and ID Series systems at the booth of US distributor Yamaha, number 300E. "Once again, it's a proud moment for NEXO to deliver the sound at one of the world's greatest gatherings of music and audio industry professionals" says NEXO sales and marketing director Gareth Collyer. "We hope everyone has a great time at the show."
