Rent What? Provides Backdrop for the Pollstar Awards

Rent What? Supplied the backdrop for the Pollstar Awards

For the third year in a row, theatrical drapery rental supplier Rent What? Inc. was selected to provide the dramatic backdrop to the prestigious Pollstar Awards. Held February 3rd, 2012 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, the 23rd Annual Pollstar Awards honored the top performers, professionals, and suppliers in the music tour and concert industry.

For the event, Rent What? contributed a crimson red satin Austrian drape available for rent from its acclaimed rockin' red drapery collection. The stage drape, measuring 30' high by 60' wide, brought a splash of showy elegance as host Chris Hardwick was joined on stage by celebrity presenters including Frenchie Davis (American Idol, Broadway), Jack Russell (Great White), The Fab Four (Beatles tribute), comedian Craig Gass and Jess Harnell (voice actor and lead singer of Rock Sugar). Awarded tours included Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Sade, Taylor Swift, U2, Katy Perry, Roger Waters, and others.

The lightweight red satin Austrian drape is designed to be lowered and raised on an automatic Austrian lift system.

At the two previous Pollstar Awards events, Rent What? also showcased their outside-the-box metal mesh stage drape from their industrial textures collection and their shimmering silver satin Austrian drape respectively.

"We're so excited to be part of this incredible event. The Pollstar Awards is the major industry highlight where all the key touring people come together to acknowledge the best of the best, so we're in very exclusive company" said Rent What? partner, Megan Duckett.

Rent What? has provided stage draperies and soft goods for such A-list tours as Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, Nickelback, Paramore, Monsters of Folk, Don Henley, Sheryl Crowe, John Legend, and the GoGo's, to name a few.

"It's not just about the performers," added Duckett, "but the people who put on the tours, from the managers to the ticket agencies to the roadies who make it all happen. That's the world we play in and our job is to make sure that everyone in front of the stage and behind looks the best they can be."
