Winners Announced of Craig Noel Awards

The Craig Noel Awards, given by the members of the San Diego Critics Circle, to honor achievement in that city's theatre scene were given out on February six.

In the category of outstanding set design, Tobin Ost won for Jane Austen's Emma, at the Old Globe Theatre. In the lighting design category, Michael Gilliam also won for Jane Austen's Emma, along with Karen Filijian for Angels in America, at ion Theatre. There were also two winners in the costume design category: Jennifer Brawn Gittings for In the Next room (or the vibrator play), at San Diego Repertory Theatre, and Jeanne Reith for The Servant of Two Masters, at Lamb's Players Theatre. Winners for outstanding sound design were Melanie Chen, for Angels in America, and Deborah Gilmour Smyth for The Book of the Dun Cow, at Lamb's Players Theatre.
