MNA Member Companies' Activities at InfoComm

Media Networking Alliance (MNA) member companies are participating extensively in InfoComm 2017. A total of 16 member companies exhibiting on the show floor include the two latest additions to the alliance's membership; Coveloz Technologies Inc., and Luminex Network Intelligence.

Live AES67 interoperability demonstrations at the show include the MNA's own booth demo -- analogous to a real-world entertainment venue AoIP networking application -- as well members' demos on the booths of Attero Tech, Luminex Network Intelligence, Merging Technologies, and QSC LLC. MNA chairman Rich Zwiebel, VP of systems strategy at QSC, is presenting InfoComm session IS103 -- AES67: Practical Applications and Overview -- at 09:00am on Friday, June 16.

Attero Tech -- booth 6484 -- is demonstrating its new AES67 wall plates and two-in / two-out flange mount endpoint; intended to provide extra I/O options for the QSC Q-SYS Core 110f and other AES67 capable systems.

Luminex Network Intelligence -- booth 5349 -- is showing the validated AES67/PTPv2 support that is preconfigured in the GigaCore family of network switches. Manufacturers, including Riedel Merging Technology, are showing GigaCore at InfoComm as the recommended switch for their AES67 products / implementation.

Merging Technologies -- booth 5353 -- is showing AES67 connectivity to a Genelec multi-speaker array system, together with the Merging/Digigram-developed ANEMAN AoIP network manager software tool.

QSC -- booth 5645 -- is demonstrating AES67 interoperability, between Q-SYS and a number of third party devices including those leveraging various AES67 implementations including native AES67 on the Attero Tech I/O end points. Other on-booth AES67 interoperability demos include the Shure MICROFLEX MXW microphone system and Genelec 8430A Audio-over-IP studio monitors.

The latest two MNA member companies are exhibiting at InfoComm.

Coveloz Technologies Inc. -- booth 4986 -- provides embedded media networking technology solutions to enable equipment vendors in the professional audio and broadcast markets to freely interoperate across different media networking technologies. Every COVELOZ chip integrates non-proprietary and standards-based discovery and connection control technologies, such as AES67 / Ravenna, AVB / AVDECC, ST2110 / NMOS and SAP.

Luminex Network Intelligence -- booth 5349 -- is a Belgian-based manufacturer of data distribution equipment for professional lighting, audio, and video applications. Its complete range of network switches, converters / nodes, and DMX splitters, provide AV designers and technicians with technology with which to build complete data distribution systems for large-scale events and venues. The company's plug-and-play GigaCore switches enable professional AV networks to be easily deployed, and are pre-configured to transport all common-use lighting and audio protocols, such as Art-Net, MANet, Dante, AES67 / Ravenna, PTP V2, and many more.

The MNA booth -- 5991 -- is a one-stop resource and contact point for all things AES67 at InfoComm, including a full guide to all member companies' activities. The booth will be staffed throughout the show with AoIP networking specialists from MNA member companies, who will be on-hand to address everyone's AES67 inquiries, and provide one-on-one "walk-throughs" and demonstrations of the MNA live AES67 demo.

On the MNA's activities at InfoComm, in support of its members and the wider adoption of AES67, Martin Barbour, co-chair of its marketing working group, says, "InfoComm is another key forum from within which to propagate awareness and education, in supporting the increasing rate of take up of AES67. As the umbrella organization for those manufacturing AES67 enabled devices and solutions, and those implementing the standard in the field, within end-user applications, we are able to provide a single point of contact for visitors and exhibitors seeking information and guidance; able to point them in the direction of people with real-world knowledge and experience, willing to openly share that with their wider industry colleagues."
