Stage Sound Super Sunday Planned for New York City on January 15

The second annual Stage Sound Seminar event continuing its practical presentations and hands-on educational demonstrations, will take place on Saturday, January 15, 2017 at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts located at 721 Broadway in New York City.

With ten hours of presentation and hands-on time (similar to USITT, LDI, and other master classes), the workshop is geared towards young people interested in stage/theatrical type sound. The speaker slate is still in the works. Past speakers have included Jim Van Bergen, Charles Coes, Elisheba Ittoop, Bob McCarthy, and more.

The event, is specifically designed to enhance, answer, and benefit the interests and abilities of all involved in the application of innovative stage, and entertainment sound.

To accomplish that goal, the intensive all day Super Stage Sound Seminars are led by active members of the theatrical sound community for the benefit of new, aspiring, and advancing stage and event designers. Particular emphasis addresses training, inspiration, and effective techniques. Additionally, the nuts and bolts implementation of the many new and long established products that aid in the achieving the desired results are detailed; presented are the mechanical assets that can get the job done as originally visualized.

Technical specialists, as well as equipment manufacturers, will demonstrate techniques and newly available cost-effective products. Among the present and past manufacturing contributors, all noted for their sound expertise and practical implementation, are such stalwarts as Autograph 2, Clear-Com, DPA Microphones, Figure53, and Lectrosonics with support from media partner Lighting&Sound America.
