Parasol Demonstrates with Clay Paky at LDI

Parasol Advanced Systems, of Vancouver, British Columbia, will be showcasing its new KLR System (Kinetic Light Ring) during LDI 2011, October 28-30, in Orlando, Florida, at ,b>Clay Paky's Booth, # 913. The system will be demonstrated with 12 Clay Paky Sharpys.

The KLR system is an alternate means of moving the source point of a number of automated lighting fixtures along a pre-defined, circular path. The KLR system is based on a patent application filed by Parasol earlier this year.

Parasol's various systems can be scaled for all types of applications, ranging from small clubs (lights under 80 lbs.) all the way to large outdoor systems capable of handling payloads of over 400 lbs per ParaCart.

Parasol debuted its L Series system at the recent world premiere of the film Pirates of the Caribbean 4, and then again during the season finale of American Idol.

Hermann Fruhm, Parasol's CEO, says, "SSRQ (safe, smooth, reliable, and quiet) has been our mandate for building Parasol Systems and we are extremely proud of the fact we have achieved just that and will continue to perfect and develop our technology. We are looking forward to exhibiting our products for the first time at a trade show and are excited about featuring the Clay Paky Sharpy luminaire on our KLR System in the Clay Paky booth.

"Clay Paky is one of the most powerful and well recognized lighting companies in the industry. We actually designed the KLR system with the Sharpy in mind. I think visitors to the Clay Paky booth at LDI will be very excited to see the possibilitieseeeeeeeeethat can be achieved with this dynamic duo."

Pio Nahum, chief commercial officer for Clay Paky, says, "The Parasol system is going to usher in an entirely new approach to stage lighting design, and make shows even more spectacular. I am convinced that LDI visitors will find it amazing."
