Lighting Designer Caleb McKenzie Becomes IESNYC President
Effective July 1, 2017, lighting designer Caleb McKenzie, LC, IALDA, MIES, and a principal at US Lighting Consultants, becomes the 92nd president of the Illuminating Engineering Society New York City Section (IESNYC). For the past two years, McKenzie has served as the IESNYC's vice president, chaired the scholarship committee, and served as a member of the nominations and awards committee. In addition, McKenzie is co-chair of the Richard Kelly Grant, which is administered under of the auspices of the IESNYC.
Mike Barr, MIES, a senior account manager at Lutron Electronics is the section's new vice president. Barr chairs the scholarship and the sponsorship committees, serves on the nominations and awards committee, and coordinates the IESNYC Thesis Prize.
Kacie Stigliano, LC, MIES, outside sales representative, Specification Lighting Sales continues as the section's secretary as does and Brad Telias, MIES, specification sales, Enterprise Lighting Sales, as the section's treasurer.
McKenzie succeeds Brian Belluomini, MIES, a founder of Shimstone Design Studio who served as section president for the past two years and remains on the IESNYC board of managers and will chair the nominations and awards committee.
In addition to McKenzie, Barr, Stigliano, and Telias, who comprise the 2017 - 2018 executive committee, the board of managers consists of Joseph Belfer (Artemide), Phil Cialdella (Light Abilities), Shaun Fillion (RAB Lighting), Monica Fuerderer (WSP Group), Lucia Granieri (HZ Electric Supply), Pete Jacobsen (Con Edison of New York), Jordan Podwal (RAB Lighting), and Randy Sabedra (RS Lighting Design).
