ETC Announces Increased L70 Rating and New Array for Source 4WRD

ETC's Source 4WRD Daylight

In 2015, ETC launched the first true LED retrofit for a Source Four tungsten luminaire. This non-destructive kit installs in such a way that the same optics and accessories remain the same as the Source Four fixture the user has used for years.

In the fall of 2017, the Source 4WRD PAR and Source 4WRD PARNel were added to the fixture family lineup. All use the same all white-light LED back end that is as bright, or in the case of S4WRD PAR and S4WRD PARNel, 15-percent brighter than a 750W extended life HPL lamp -- all while using 70-percent less power.

ETC announces a new array option for the Source 4WRD family. The Source 4WRD Daylight Gallery adds a 5,300K, (90+ CRI / TM-30 91 Rf, 99 Rg) white light option to the existing 3,000K options. This cooler variant is ideal for television studios, auto shows, industrial trade shows, and other live events.

The Source 4WRD Daylight Gallery can be used with all existing Source Four incandescent fixtures, as well as Source 4WRD PAR and PARNel fixture bodies.

Additionally, a third-party lab recently completed testing and found that the 30,000 hour L70 rating originally published for ETC's Source 4WRD LED was conservative. With the completed and verified testing information in hand, it has been confirmed that Source 4WRD LED now holds a 60,000+ hour L70 rating.
