ADJ Prepares to Unleash the Hydro Series at InfoComm 2019

ADJ Hydro Beam X1

This week ADJ will be exhibiting at the 2019 InfoComm trade show in Orlando, Florida. InfoComm is the largest event in North America focused on the pro-AV industry and attracts 44,000 attendees from 110 countries. ADJ will use the show to introduce its exciting new range of IP-rated moving head fixtures to this important market, as well as showcase other key products from the company's extensive portfolio of professional lighting, video, and effects equipment.

The flagship of ADJ's new IP65-rated Hydro Series of moving head fixtures is the Hydro Beam X2, which began shipping last week. This extremely bright and feature-packed luminaire is designed for outdoor events, tour production, and permanent installation in environments where rain, humidity, dust, or sand could impair the function of regular fixtures. Through a combination of precision-engineered optics and a potent Osram Sirius HRI 370W LL discharge lamp, the fixture generates a razor-sharp 3-degree beam that can be customized using a wide variety of beam manipulation tools to provide lighting designers with a high level of creative freedom. These include a 14 position color wheel (including both 3200K and 5600K CTO filters), 10 replaceable rotating gobos plus two fixed beam reducers, two multi-faceted rotating prisms with layering feature, and an independent frost filter.

The second fixture in the new series, the Hydro Beam X1, is a compact yet potent moving head powered by an Osram Sirius HRI 100W discharge lamp. Combined with precision optics and a tight 3-degree beam angle, this allows the fixture to generate an extremely powerful beam that travels over a long distance and is capable of creating a wide variety of stunning midair effects. Despite its small size, the X1 packs in plenty of beam-shaping features. Its color wheel offers a diverse selection of 14 color options, including UV and a CTB color correction filter, plus open white. A second wheel is loaded with a varied selection of 15 gobo patterns plus open, which include four beam reducers and the versatile fixture also features a 16-facet rotating circular prism.

The final model in the Hydro Series to date is the new Hydro Wash X7 a powerful LED wash fixture that will make its official debut at InfoComm 2019. With a compact footprint allowing for agile movement, this professional IP65-rated fixture utilizes the power of seven Osram 40W RGBW (four-in-one) LEDs to generate a potent wash of colored light. Each LED can be controlled individually, allowing for the creation of "eye-candy" effects as well as integration into a larger pixel-mapped display. The fixture also boasts a motorized zoom function with an impressive range of 6- to 40-degrees, allowing for both tight beams and broad washes. In addition to standard five-pin DMX input and output sockets, it is also equipped with an ADJ WiFLY DMX receiver that allows cable free control from a compatible lighting board or DMX bridge.

Also on display will be the new 15 HEX BAR IP, a 1m linear LED wash fixture with a weatherproof enclosure. It features 15 12W HEX (six-in-one) RGBWA plus UV LEDs and offers a 25-degree beam angle. The LEDs are grouped into five individually-controllable sections of three, allowing for the creation of color chasing "eye-candy" effects. With an IP65 rating, the unit is protected from dust, sand, moisture, and water, making it ideal for outdoor installation or use by production companies working on festivals and other outdoor events. The fixture is supplied with an opaque diffusion filter, which can be easily mounted above the LEDs simply by sliding it into a purpose-designed slot in the front of the unit. It is also supplied with an optional beam deflector / hood, which prevents unwanted light spill when used as a footlight.

Finally, ADJ's InfoComm 2019 booth will also showcase the latest addition to the Focus Series of compact, yet powerful, professional moving head luminaires. The new Focus Beam LED is the first dedicated beam fixture to be introduced to the range and features an 80W cool white LED engine and a narrow 5-degree beam angle, making it ideal for creating mid-air beam effects in nightclubs and on concert stages. It offers an extensive feature set - including motorized focus, 15 gobos plus open, 13 colors plus open, 0-100% linear frost filter, USB firmware update port, and two indexed rotating prisms (six-facet linear and eight-facet circular), making it a versatile tool for creative lighting designers.

"InfoComm has become a key exhibition for ADJ over recent years," comments ADJ USA's national sales manager, Alfred Gonzales. "It is a vibrant trade show that attracts professionals from a wide range of AV-related disciplines who are looking for the latest equipment innovations. We are confident that the ADJ Hydro Series, as well as the other new fixtures we have to showcase, will excite and inspire visitors to our booth. Myself and the rest of the ADJ sales team look forward to working with both new and existing customers on specifying the right products for their up-coming projects."

The InfoComm 2019 exhibition hall opens on Wednesday, June 12, and will run thru Friday, June 14, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. ADJ will be found on booth 7457 right at the heart of the show. In addition to the new products mentioned above, the large booth will feature many other fixtures from the ADJ range and will be staffed by ADJ's knowledgeable sales team and product specialists who will be happy to provide demonstrations and technical advice.
