SynAudCon Presents in Shenzhen China

Eighty sound system designers came together in Shenzhen China to take SynAudCon's three-day Sound System Design seminar. The seminar was hosted by EZPro International, a distributor for Community Professional, EAW, Mackie, Symetrix, and 15 others brands.

Prior to joining EZPro International, Tao Zhang -- now vice-president of the organization -- lived in the US and worked for Community Professional. During that time he attended a number of instructive SynAudCon seminars.

After his move back to China in 2013, it became clear that many audio professionals in the region would also benefit from SynAudCon training. As a result, he approached SynAudCon about presenting their training at EZPro International.

"Audio education is difficult to find in Asia," he says. "After experiencing the SynAudCon seminars, I knew audio professionals in the region would be excited for the opportunity. It was terrific that Pat and Brenda were able to work with us to bring their training here."

Sound System Design is a three-day seminar presented by SynAudCon owner and instructor Pat Brown. The seminar provides attendees with a logical, intuitive, comprehensive approach to the system design process. It covers speech intelligibility issues, determining loudspeaker types for specific applications -- and the correct amplifiers to use -- as well as computer room modeling.

The Sound System Design seminar attendees came from the five provinces in China as well as Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Many worked with some of the largest system integrators in the country. Because most of the attendees were not fluent in English, Tao Zhang stepped in as Pat Brown's translator.

The seminar was held in a 100 seat state-of-art auditorium at EZPro headquarters. The auditorium was acoustically treated, equipped with a LCR sound reinforcement system, a Lares acoustical enhancement system, and video projection on a 3.8m x 2.8m size screen.
