ADJ Introduces the TRIBAR Spot Six-Head LED Pinspot System

ADJ Tribar Spot LED pinspot system

With tightly focused pinspots, a lighting designer can immediately shine attention on anything at a gig or venue -- from a wedding cake, to performers on stage, to scenic elements in a room.

Now ADJ has introduced a new spotting tool -- the TRIBAR Spot LED pinspot system. Ideal for DJs, clubs, and mobile entertainers, this lightweight portable system consists of six pinspot heads, each powered by a five-watt tri-color RGB LED. In addition to producing a brilliant beam of color, each of the heads features a tight 12-degree beam angle, to create the perfect spot. An optional six-degree lens is also available.

Each of the pinspots in the Tribar Spot system also includes 0-100% dimming, strobing, and 32 built-in color macros. These features can be controlled individually on each head via DMX, giving a lighting designer the ability to create different spotting effects simultaneously in different areas of the room.

The versatile Tribar Spot system is a unique, dramatic effect, the company says. This six-headed fixture can fill up a dance floor with RGB lighting excitement or energize any room with colorful beams of light. A designer can also set it on the ground and beam it upward; its multi heads provide a whole new style of uplighting walls and other objects.

Flexible mounting options add to the Tribar Spot system's versatility. Its six pinspots come mounted on their own bar, which itself may be either hung from truss, set on the floor, or mounted on a tripod stand (sold separately). The individual heads on the Tribar Spot must be positioned manually.

"The Tribar Spot system is one of the most versatile and exciting products we've introduced in recent times," said Alfred Gonzales, national sales manager for ADJ Products. "Of course it's perfect for pinspotting, which is a great way to highlight anything you wish and add extra flourish to your show. With six individually-controllable heads, the system was designed to give users a lot of flexibility in spotting."

"But the Tribar Spot's uses extend well beyond spotting," added Gonzales. "This is also a great effect for filling a dance floor. You can also use it for creating excitement on the ceilings or uplighting the walls. It will definitely become a 'go-to' effect in your lighting toolchest."

Control of the Tribar Spot's features can be done either manually or via DMX (there are seven different DMX channel operation modes). Manual control modes include auto (program run), sound active, and static color modes. When in auto and sound active modes, it will run to its own built-in programs. The Tribar Spot is also compatible with the ADJ LED RC wireless remote controller (sold separately) for easy cordless control. To cover larger areas, up to 25 Tribar Spot systems can be linked together via three-pin XLR cable and power cable.

The system's flicker-free LEDs draw very little power (40W maximum for the entire system), and will run for 50,000 hours without replacement. With the entire system weighing just 11 lb. / 4.9 kg., the Tribar Spot is flexible for mobile use. Its dimensions are 31.5"L x 3.75"W x 9.25"H / 800 x 90 x 230mm. It features multi-voltage operation: AC100-240V, 50/60Hz.
