Artistic Licence Engineering Adds Duo-Split RDM to its Splitter Range

Duo-Split RDM from Artistic Licence

Duo-Split RDM is a new two-input, eight-output DMX and RDM splitter from Artistic Licence Engineering. Housed in a 19" 1U rack enclosure, Duo-Split distributes DMX and RDM using the same market-leading DMX splitter technology employed across Artistic Licence's full splitter range.

Duo-Split not only has two separate inputs, but each input can be independently switched to a "fixer" mode to remove RDM traffic being sent to the outputs by removing non zero start code packets. In fixer mode it will also re-time the DMX packets to overcome any speed compatibility issues.

Each of Duo-Split RDM's eight buffered outputs can be individually selected to either of its two independent isolated inputs. Each input in turn can be individually set to splitter or fixer mode to give the user maximum flexibility.

This flexibility makes it very useful for rental companies whose projects and requirements can vary considerably.

Duo-Split offers a choice of one or two universes and masters the notoriously tricky process of connecting RDM devices seamlessly.

Its small 1U footprint also makes it ideal for all entertainment and architectural applications since it combines two splitters into one box, especially valuable when space is at a premium.

Duo-Split's RDM compliance renders it future-proof and its reliable cross-manufacturer support has been confirmed by numerous successful RDM Plugfest tests using multiple manufacturers' products, the company says.

Duo-Split RDM was first launched at PLASA Focus: Leeds 2012 and it forms part of the splitter range, alongside Rail-Split RDM, Rack-Split RDM, and Iso-Split RDM.
