dBTechnologies' A2Net Protocol Receives Future's Best of Show Award at InfoComm 2025

dbTechnologies team

dBTechnologies announces that its A2Net protocol has been named a recipient of Future's Best of Show Award, presented by Mix at InfoComm 2025. The award recognizes products that stand out for their technical innovation, practical benefits, and value to professionals working across the audio industry.

Future's Best of Show Awards are judged by a panel of engineers and industry experts, who evaluate each entry based on innovation, functionality, real-world application, and overall value to users.

A2Net is a new protocol designed to streamline speaker control and digital audio transport. Built on the foundation of RDNet, A2Net allows up to four channels of uncompressed digital audio to travel alongside control data over a single cable. It's compatible with all Digipro G4 amplifiers via the ACU-1 card and supports backward compatibility with RDNet devices, enabling flexible integration across different system setups.

"A2Net was developed to deliver reliable performance in real-world applications, whether on tour, in permanent installations, or in temporary setups," says Claudio Ottani, R&D director at dBTechnologies. "Our goal was to build a protocol that simplifies setup without compromising performance or compatibility."

A2Net is engineered with stability and ease of use in mind -- supporting everyone from first-time users to seasoned professionals. It eliminates unnecessary signal conversions, ensuring clean audio from the source through to the output, and does so in a way that doesn't require deep technical knowledge.

"We wanted to create a solution that meets the expectations of today's users while improving the flexibility and functionality of our systems," Ottani adds. "We're proud to see the result recognized by the industry."

Colin Studybaker, president of dBTechnologies USA, notes, "This award reflects the work of a team focused on making advanced technology accessible. A2Net gives users the tools they need without adding complexity, which is key for anyone looking to deploy professional-grade systems efficiently."

Giovanni Barbieri, general manager at dBTechnologies adds, "This recognition reinforces our approach of investing in practical, well-designed solutions that serve a wide range of professionals. It also speaks to the strength of our team, whose collaboration and shared vision made A2Net possible."

"The products nominated for the Best of Show program provide an outstanding overview of new technology on the show floor and shine a spotlight on the very best in professional AV," said the editorial team behind the awards.
