Artistic Licence Updates on New Products

Artistic Licence's Commissioner dali

Artistic Licence's sunDial quad recently won the coveted PLASA Gold Innovation Award. This trailing edge DMX/RDM mains dimmer is enjoying strong sales as customers recognize its huge potential. With outstanding performance and advanced safety features, the product achieves professional quality fades with nearly all dimmable fixtures, including LED replacement bulbs.

Artistic Licence's newest product, Commissioner dali, is now shipping. The product is a hand-held, battery powered tool for commissioning, testing, and configuring DALI installations. Following on from its popular predecessor (Dali-Scope, now discontinued), Commissioner offers many significant enhancements -- not least its support for DT8. The bright, 40-character LCD is easy to read and provides a wealth of information. The product can equally well handle the replacement of a single faulty lamp or the commissioning of a large-scale installation -- allowing all devices to be addressed with only five button presses. Commissioner dali has numerous intensity control functions including direct control over DT8 color changers. The product is powered by two AA batteries and offers over 80 hours of continuous operation.

Another new product is Artistic Licence's latest DMX512-to-DALI conversion product, DMXtoDALI quad. Integration between the protocols has never been easier. With support for DALI DT8 (color), DMXtoDALI quad is ideally specified for the new generation of DALI products coming to market.

matisse Light-Switch II is the next evolution of the company's popular Light-Switch DMX controller, designed for sophisticated room control applications. The product retains all the functionality of its predecessor, but features a built-in USB programming port for easier editing. The entire system is programmed using Switch-Edit, a free software package that complements the product. Once programmed, the show is downloaded and programmed to flash memory. Switch-Edit contains a moving lamp library and fully implements both post and pre-master channels. This feature allows all types of DMX devices to be freely mixed. The product can also be programmed by recording DMX512 from a lighting console.
