This important session on the ever-changing labor laws and classifications is presented by the ESTA Business Resource Group. "Hiring Independent Contractors vs. Employees: Understand the Difference or Pay the Consequences" will feature a panel discussion on Thursday, October 20, from 12:30 - 2:30pm at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Room MN213.

Paul Vincent, president of Vincent Lighting Systems will serve as the moderator for this informative panel of four industry experts: Steve Adelman, of Adelman Law Group; Pete Heffernan, former president of Bandit Lites; Paul Kush, chief claims officer for ProSight Specialty Insurance; and James Varga, west coast counsel IATSE will be at the table to discuss the issue of properly classifying non-permanent workers. This valuable session will help you understand the labor complexities of getting a job done and staying within the requirements of the FLSA and the IRS.
