Pro Tapes & Specialties Acquired by Shurtape Technologies

Pro Tapes & Specialties, Inc., the manufacturer of specialty adhesive tapes located in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey, has been acquired by Hickory, North Carolina-based Shurtape Technologies, LLC, effective immediately.

According to a statement sent out by the companies, "For nearly two decades, Shurtape and Pro Tapes have maintained a unique and highly successful sales and marketing alliance, with this acquisition being the next step in our journey together. This transaction provides a strategic opportunity to accelerate growth for both companies through increased investments in manufacturing capacity, sales efforts, and marketing activities."

Pro Tapes and Specialties makes products for numerous markets, including arts and entertainment. Shurtape Technologies manufactures and markets adhesive tape and consumer home and office products; it has facilities in the US, UK, Germany, Mexico, Peru, United Arab Emirates, China, and Australia. Its subsidiaries serve numerous markets, including industrial/MRO, building and construction, packaging, electrical, stucco, HVAC, professional paint, automotive, marine, aerospace, arts and entertainment, graphic arts, sound control, medical, DIY, home and office, and retail. In addition to specialty adhesive solutions, it offers products under such brand names as Duck, FrogTape, T-Rex, Painter's Mate, Shurtape, and Kip.

According to Pro Tapes, "Our Pro Tapes management team will remain intact, ensuring there will be no disruptions in communications, service, product development, or sales coverage. Additionally, we will continue to operate our facility in North Brunswick and will become a subsidiary of Shurtape Technologies."
