Keep The Noise Down! - RG Jones' Guide to the Sound of Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage at PLASA 2011

RG Jones, the London-based audio gear supplier, will present an overview of the sound for the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, as part of the PLASA 2011 seminar program, on Wednesday September 14.

The seminar is an entry-level primer on festival sound, designed for students taking accredited performing arts courses or apprenticeships who want to deepen their understanding of how festival audio production works.

Simon Honywill, project Manager and front-of-house engineer for RG Jones, will present the session. When not flying all over the world he is nurturing the next generation of sound designers at Deep Blue Sound -- an established and specialzed audio college. Honywill has been instrumental in the design and the implementation of the design for Glastonbury's iconic Pyramid Stage.

. The presentation will cover subjects such as system design, logistics of high pressure turn-arounds on a stage that the world is watching, and catering to the needs of a broad range of artists.
