Bandit Lites Welcomes Grayson Price as Systems Administrator

Bandit Lites announces the addition of Grayson Price as systems administrator at its Knoxville headquarters.

A lifelong East Tennessean, Price joins Bandit Lites with a strong foundation in systems engineering and information technology, bringing experience in server administration, network infrastructure, database management, ERP systems, software development and business systems engineering.

Price earned his degree in Business Analytics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville before discovering his true passion for the technology powering modern business operations.

"Toward the end of college, I realized it was the technology and the underlying systems behind analytics that really excited me," says Price. "After graduating, I worked as a solo Systems Administrator for a manufacturing company, where I had the opportunity to develop a broad range of technical skills. Throughout that experience, I found that my passion lies in streamlining essential business functions by centralizing, standardizing and automating systems to create more reliable and consistent workflows. At the end of the day, IT supports people, so if you can make someone's daily responsibilities easier, you've done your job."

As systems administrator, Price will help maintain and enhance Bandit Lites' technology infrastructure while developing solutions that improve efficiency across the company's production, integration and business operations.

What initially drew him to Bandit Lites was the opportunity to combine his technical expertise with one of the entertainment industry's most recognized lighting companies.

"The production side of Bandit Lites was a huge attraction," Price explains. "Big names, big shows and big opportunities -- how can you not be excited about that? On a personal level, it's also an opportunity to work in a completely new environment with new systems in an industry that's unlike anything I've experienced before. While I have a background in systems engineering, Bandit Lites offers a unique chance to expand my skillset while learning technologies and processes that support live entertainment."

Since joining the company, Price has immersed himself in learning the infrastructure that supports both Bandit Lites' touring and integration divisions, gaining firsthand knowledge of the systems that keep projects moving efficiently.

"In the short time I've been here, I've learned a tremendous amount about Bandit Lites' infrastructure and the business processes behind both production and integration," says Price. "What excites me most is developing in-house automation solutions that help streamline processes and make people's jobs easier. Whether it's improving a database, network, software platform or operating system, automation benefits every department and every employee. There are so many opportunities to make a meaningful impact, and I'm looking forward to tackling those projects."
