GoVision Acquires Assets of Transit Image, Creating Largest Mobile LED Screen Fleet in North America

Marking its third strategic acquisition over the last 12 months, GoVision LP announces that it has acquired the assets of Transit Image LLC, a provider of mobile, self-contained large format video screen rentals.

When added to GoVision's existing fleet of "GoTron," "GoBig," and "GoBigger" units, the combined inventory -- 20 units in all -- comprises the largest mobile LED screen fleet in North America. Weatherford, Texas-based Transit Image also has a patented trailer design that allows its screens to be raised to 50' in the air -- the highest in the industry -- and rotate a full 360 degrees.

Transit Image has provided screens for a multitude of national events and holds long-term relationships with some of the largest sporting events in the US, including the Capitol 4th Celebration in Washington DC, Boston Marathon, and Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

"This acquisition kind of brings me full circle as Transit Image was my first and only competitor when I started in the video screen rental business 25 years ago," said Chris Curtis, founder and CEO of GoVision, a national supplier of customized modular LED walls and turnkey mobile LED units. "Like us, they're based in a small town in North Texas but they're an important player in major events all around the country. Fortunately, we don't have much overlap in the industries we currently serve, so the opportunities for mutual growth are exponential."

Transit Image's employees, including its president, Tommy Joe Lucia, will join the GoVision team.

"This is one of those rare acquisitions where one plus one really does equal three, if not four," said Lucia. "I'm very excited to join forces with Chris and the entire GoVision family. Separately, we have proud histories. Together, there's no telling what great opportunities lie ahead."

In February 2014, GoVision acquired the assets of Los Angeles-based InnoVision Media Group, giving the company its first physical presence on the West coast, expanding its LED equipment inventory, supplementing its portfolio of blue-chip clients, and adding depth and experience to its management and technical teams.

Last October, GoVision purchased Graystone Media, a leading provider of graphics, production services, and live-event content for large video screens and event venues. Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, Graystone was founded in 2007 on the premise that when customers make a major investment in video displays, they need great content to generate a return on their investment.

"With these three transactions, GoVision offers an enviable combination of modular and mobile LED technology, cutting-edge creative and content services, and custom design and fabrication capabilities that will enable us to have a much larger impact on our customers' events," said Curtis. "When you talk about one-stop shops, it's safe to say that's now a great way to describe GoVision."
