Starlite Productions Receives Clay Paky B-EYEs

Clay Paky's B-EYE K20 LED available at Starlite Productions

Moorestown, New Jersey-based Starlite Productions is among the first US lighting rental companies to receive the PLASA London and LDI award-winning B-EYE K20 LED fixture from Clay Paky. This fixture will join Starlite's bevy of Clay Paky Sharpys, which recently returned from duty as the backdrop of the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show.

Starlite has been a systems integrator for such projects as for NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina; various locations at Pennsylvania's Lincoln University; and The Episcopal Academy, in Newtown Square Pennsylvania. Also, it has provided gear for such live events as the Eastern Technology Council Enterprise Awards, Chris Matthews Hardball College Tour, and the Marian Anderson Awards.

The A.LEDA B-EYE K20 is an all-in-one wash light, beam light, and effects projector. It is an incredibly efficient, versatile, and even kaleidoscopic luminaire, and with 37 Osram 15W RGBW LEDs, the company says the output is truly impressive. Steve Kosiba, one of Starlite's programmers, was able to demonstrate the light's capabilities right out of the box, due to the built-in macros. "The integrated shapes and effects available in the fixture really set it apart from other pixel mapping LED movers," said Kosiba. "You don't need hours of setup and programming time to make these fixtures look great."

Given the overwhelming interest at the 2013 trade shows and the front-and-center appearances at both the Super Bowl and the 2014 Winter Olympics, the B-EYE stands to be in high demand for some time to come.

Starlite's lighting rental guru, Matt Strickland, says the new B-EYEs help him stay competitive. "The addition of the B-EYE to our inventory gives Starlite Productions the edge it needs to continue providing the touring market with the latest in lighting technology."

Starlite has created a video demonstrating the on-board macros of the B-EYE. The video can be found at the URL below.
