Paul Owen Joins DCR Nashville

Paul Owen and Howard Jones, DCR Nashville

Today, DCR Nashville announces some big news in the entertainment production industry. As the COVID-19 pandemic brought the touring industry to a screeching halt, DCR Nashville saw this as an opportunity to tune up their operations.

"During these challenges, opportunities present themselves. The pandemic has certainly provided its fair share of both. Our leadership team rallied and identified some tactical moves that will help take our company to the next level, making us stronger than ever heading into 2021," says Jennifer Moore, VP of sales and marketing.

DCR Nashville announces the addition of industry veteran, Paul Owen, as company president. Joining the existing team of CEO and founder: Howard Jones; general manager: John Schirmer, VP of sales and marketing: Moore.

Founder, Jones, adds "For the foreseeable future the pandemic will continue to bring many changes and opportunities to our industry. Some of these changes will be difficult and others are not. In what has been a year of difficult decisions, the opportunity to add Paul Owen to the DCR Nashville executive team is the perfect example of an easy decision. The addition of a longtime friend and industry legend such as Paul to the team here at DCR will help prepare ourselves to embrace all that is to come. Paul's experience will be invaluable as we lay the groundwork for what will be going forward."

Owen brings with him an impressive 40+ years of music industry and production experience. Not only has he owned and operated companies large and small, he has toured the world over as an audio engineer for some of the most legendary acts to ever take the stage. He is the previous VP of Thunder Audio and most recently the former GM of Solotech Nashville. During his 30-year touring career he mastered his proficiency in audio, lighting, video, and production for both film and live entertainment events.

"I am very honored to be offered and gladly except the president's position with this well-established company and brand. DCR Nashville and I have had a close working relationship for many years and I've watched it grow into the respected company it is today. Obviously, the startup of our industry is dictated by many factors post COVID, but I could not think of a better place to be when it starts back up again. I look forward to working closely with Howard and his team and jumping back on the music industry's fast riding train we all have all missed so much" says Owen.

Owen's achievements and accolades are numerous; his knowledge and international experience are second to none. Schirmer, general manager, adds "As a growing organization and brand, DCR Nashville is excited to have Paul Owen join our team. Paul brings with him an experience set that will assist DCR well into the future. I am excited to work with Paul and look forward to serving our clients together along with the rest of our team."

Not only is DCR bringing on this industry veteran as president, but the company will also be moving into a larger facility to better service their growing list of clientele and their individual production needs. The expansion at their existing location will include additional square footage to increase warehouse capacity, prep areas, and a newly designed service department.

This agile company is weathering the pandemic with determination and will emerge stronger than ever, ready to service clients both new and old with all their audio, lighting, and video production offerings.
