Norwest Productions Expands with L-Acoustics and Lab.gruppen

Norwest Productions, Australia's largest audio service provider, has purchased a 48 L-Acoustics dV-DOSC modular line source array cabinets and 16 SB218 subwoofers which will be put into immediate service, along with their existing V-Dosc/Kudo inventory, on the upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand by Neil Diamond.

"Over the years I have heard many PA systems and the L'Acoustics dV-DOSC is certainly one of the best," remarked Chris Kennedy, Norwest's managing director. "I really like the full and warm bass you get with the dV-Dosc. It's a line array that does exactly what it should and basically it just sounds good."

"The dV-Dosc is the recognized benchmark in small-format line arrays and sits nicely with our existing L-Acoustics stock," concurred Graeme Whitehouse, Norwest's group operations director. "We anticipate this will help continue our access into new markets, as well as bolster our stock for our busy corporate and broadcast businesses. It's an initial purchase and I'm confident we'll buy more. Norwest has exited the global financial crisis as a stronger and more streamlined business, and our ever-expanding inventory is under constant pressure, both in Australia and New Zealand."

Norwest has also purchased forty Lab.gruppen PLM10000Q amplifiers (400,000W) and 24 Lake LM26 loudspeaker management processors to add to their substantial Dolby Lake inventory. "Norwest has a long commitment to the Lab.gruppen and Lake products," said Graeme. "They are the undisputed world leader in amplifiers and processors, and we've got standing orders in place with the distributor to deliver product on a monthly basis as it becomes available. Apparently, we can't have it all; we need to leave some for other people as well."

The Lab.gruppen PLM10000Q amplifiers add to an inventory of in excess of 350 Lab.gruppen amplifiers and will be re-powering the existing Kudo as well as the new L-Acoustics dV-DOSC speakers. Norwest's flagship line array of Adamson Y-Axis will continue to be powered with Lab.gruppen FP series amplifiers and Lake processing.
