ADJ Inno Pocket Fusion Combines LED and Laser for Mobile Friendly Effects

ADJ's Inno Pocket Fusion

Making another addition to its Inno Pocket range of compact, affordable LED effects, ADJ has released the Inno Pocket Fusion -- a dual-effect, barrel-mirrored scanner that infuses LED beams with intense laser effects to create mesmeric, high-impact light shows.

Building on the barrel-mirror scan effects of the Inno Pocket Roll, the Inno Pocket Fusion combines a 12W white LED, eight fixed colors (plus white), and a tight beam to produce slicing beams of color, and embellishes these beam effects with a 4.9mW green laser, enabling users to generate stunning dual effects from a single source. Thanks to its rapid X/Y mirror movement and stepper motors, the company says the Pocket Fusion not only multiplies these LED laser effects but also offers versatile, precise, and distinctive movements that send them spinning around the venue, shooting through the air, and flickering across the dance-floor.

Allowing users to produce a club atmosphere in just about any venue, this unique movement is vital for mobile DJs, small clubs, bars, and entertainment centers catering for younger audiences or club goers. This is where the Pocket Fusion's pulse and strobe settings really stand out too; adding excitement and intensity to the already eye-catching effects. Furthermore, with 0-100% dimming, users always have the possibility of reducing the strength of these strobe effects, depending on the needs of clients and audiences.

While the Inno Pocket Fusion is DMX compatible, sensational non-DMX light shows can be created too, using the pan/tilt inversion settings while in show mode. With 12 built-in shows, users can generate a synchronized light show in which two or more Pocket Fusions will mimic each other or produce contrasting movements.

"While other similar products on the market have included both LED lighting and laser effects in one fixture, our Inno Pocket Fusion is the first compact and affordable solution to fuse the two together," says ADJ USA national sales manager, Alfred Gonzales. "The Pocket Fusion offers super-bright color beams -- powered by a 12W white LED and enabled by eight fixed colors -- and combines these with an intense 4.9mW green laser. This allows our customers to generate effects of a truly unique quality, while also living up to the portability, versatility, and affordability that is expected of our Inno Pocket range."

While the Pocket Fusion's show mode does offer 12 exciting built-in programs, users can also control the fixture in DMX or sound active modes. Using DMX mode affords greater flexibility and more in-depth control, while a choice between five dimmer curves enables users to tailor their light show to suit the style of the event they're working or the needs of a client. For equally effective results, but with simpler control, users can operate the fixture in sound active mode. Thanks to the Inno Pocket Fusion's in-built microphone and stepper motors, sound active mode sees the fixture reacting to music and sound with quick, precise movements.

A fourth control option is also available via the optional ADJ UC IR remote, which lets users select full on, stand-by, sound active on/off and laser on/off, and adjust settings for strobe, color change, and dimming. For DJs, entertainers, and production companies looking to control the Pocket Fusion from the booth, stage, or the rear of a venue, this remote option allows them to select and adjust elementary features from a distance of 30' (approximately 9m).

With three-pin XLR in/out connections on the rear of the fixture, mobile DJs, touring bands, stage productions, and event producers that want to incorporate multiple Pocket Fusions into their light show can use DMX or a master/slave configuration for synchronized and highly effective results. Also fitted on the rear of the fixture are in/out IEC connections, allowing the power for multiple Pocket Fusions to be daisy-chained. With a hanging yoke and safety loop also included, users can mount the Inno Pocket Fusion above dance-floors, stages, bars, roller rinks, and bowling alleys, without compromising the safety of clientele or the protection of the light itself.

The Inno Pocket Fusion is available now from ADJ USA and available April 2015 from ADJ Europe.
