A (New) Major Player in the Events Industry -- Mega-Stage Contributors Acquire the Company

The acquiring of the Mega-Stage business, located in SaintJean-sur-Richelieu by local shareholders, was confirmed by Stephane Vezina, majority shareholder and new CEO during a staff meeting. Vezina took advantage of this announcement to unveil the company's new name, which will now be called Mega-Stage, to better reflect the company's new position.

"The acquisition of Mega-Stage was the opportunity to think about the new direction we want to give the business. We want to keep contributing to the success of businesses and professionals within the entertainment industry, but we'd like to do it in a different way," mentions Vezina.

"The company's mission is to contribute to the success of companies and professionals of the entertainment industry by offering them innovative solutions as well as exclusive scenic equipment for their large and small events. The values of respect, innovation, of the 'working together' and security will be at the heart of our mission," says Vezina.

The five shareholders acquiring Mega-Stage are long-time company contributors. Vezina himself spent nearly 30 years there, at first as project manager, and then as vice-president of sales and operations, allowing him to ensure continuity for current customers.

The team's expertise developed through the years, as well as their knowledge of the environment will be put to good use to seek new customers. "We want to give each event the attention it deserves," asserts Vezina. Positioning itself as the expert for large and small events, Mega wants to contribute to the success of businesses, no matter their size.

With this deal, shareholders Stephane Vezina, Benoit Langlois, Alexandre Robichaud, David Lussier, and Jean-Philippe Provost hope to consolidate the society's offer of service and increase its presence in Quebec and Ontario. Thus, Mega will now focus on renting staging equipment. More than 300 companies and entertainment professionals trust Mega every year for the rental of stages, bleachers, scaffolding, risers, trusses, and event structures.
