Bruno Garros Exits Martin Professional, Joins APG

Bruno Garros

French audio manufacturer, APG, with their recent partnership with Powersoft marking a significant milestone in the technical phase of their development, has launched the new APG-branded amplifiers. With the new amplifiers the company can now offer full system packages (loudspeakers, processing, and amplification) based on a comprehensive range of new generation products specifically tailored to clients' needs.

In addition, the company announces the arrival of Bruno Garros as executive vice president global sales and business development. The company noted the wealth of experience and contacts Garros brings with him from his achievements at Martin Professional combined with the growth at APG mark a significant turning point. "This combination has enabled us to provide the company with additional resources in order to accelerate our development. We are all very proud to welcome Bruno to the team," shared Grégory Dapsanse, executive vice president, R&D, innovation and marketing.

Garros is often described as an "industry heavyweight" in European pro AV circles. He has spent the last 15 years in high-ranking positions within Martin Professional, first as managing director of Martin France before moving on to occupy the role of VP of distributor sales for Martin Professional worldwide.

Effective June 1, Garros took on his new role at APG. He has also significantly increased the share capital of the company and taken a 25% shareholding in the business, according to the company.

"I've had 15 wonderful years at Martin Professional, but it was time for me to move on. I was ready for new challenges and new horizons," said Garros. "I've known the APG team for many years now, as the brand was at one point distributed by Martin France, so I've been keeping an eye on their progress since the management buyout in 2004. The combined expertise and experience of all the APG team is enormous, and their product portfolio is both modern and comprehensive. As a company APG is motivated and dynamic with genuinely pioneering product concepts such as the modular line array. Last year they achieved more than 10% growth and showed a profit, which in today's economic climate is a real performance. As I was looking to invest in a new business venture, the opportunity, for both parties, seemed too good to miss!"

"APG's growth potential, both at home and abroad, is enormous" continued Garros. "In the short term I see my role as very hands-on, supporting the current team to continue to build on what has already been achieved throughout Europe, Russia, and Asia, and of course our domestic market in France. These are all markets I know well, so I will be operational immediately. Medium and longer term we'll be targeting new markets such as North Africa, the Middle East, and North America. It's going to be an exciting time for us all, and I am delighted to joining APG at such a strategic juncture. I am looking forward to being instrumental in their success,"Garros concluded.
