PR Lighting Brightens Up the Stage for Grupo Siggno

Grupo Siggno in concert

Texas-based Mexican Tejano band, Grupo Siggno, recently staged an outstanding performance in San Antonio, Texas. Global Productions, owned by Adrian Gallegos and Daniel Martinez, helped brighten their stage by utilizing moving heads from PR Lighting and several fixtures from Mega Systems Inc., who distribute the Chinese brand in the US.

The event took place in the Cowboys Dance Hall, where over 4,000 people enjoyed the concert, produced by Global Productions. In addition to PR Lighting's XLED 3007, the production also included four XLED 4022RZ and four Phantom from PR Lighting.

Both Global Productions and Grupo Siggno's lighting designer, David Luis Rosas, expressed their amazement at the XLED 4022RZ, which is equipped with a beam angle zoom range of 5- to 60-degrees and can create illumination and color mixing in both near and far distances. When used in wash mode, the beams come together to create a luminous wash with an even distribution of colorful lights, while the fixture contains countless effects.

"The power of the LEDs in the XLED 4022RZ is incredible," said Rosas. "The zoom and focus can make a different look and the vortex kaleidoscopic effect looked like crystal diamonds rotating as a prism. When used during the show, I had to point the fixtures upwards because it would overpower the smaller LEDs on stage."

Aside from the XLED 4022RZ, the Phantom was able to add to the creativity of Rosas' light show.

"The Phantom is an amazing light," he praised. "What I liked about it was the ability to control the 0- to 2.8-degree beam angle in beam mode, 2.8- to 60-degrees in spot mode and 10- to 60-degrees in wash mode during the show. It has three independent prisms, with two eight-facet prisms and one four-facet linear prism, which is impressive because not many carry that feature. To top it off, it has 18 fixed gobos to choose from and that helps create better looks on your shows."

To further exceed the crowds' experience, Global Productions used Mega-Lite's XBAR LED RGB Strobe and Drama FZ-LED 700 followspot, both of which added considerably to the dynamic.

With yet another successful concert behind them, Global Productions will continue to tour with Grupo Siggno. Mega Systems Inc. and PR Lighting fixtures will remain a part of their show and continue to light up the stage for these Grammy Award Best NorteƱo Album and Latin Grammy Award for Best Tejano Album winners.
