Cadac Appoints ETA to Handle New Console Portfolio in Australia

Cadac's international sales manager, Ben Milson and ETA founder, David Croxton with the CDC eight digital sound touring console.

In the continuing expansion of its international distributor network, Cadac has appointed newly formed Australian distributor, Entertainment Technology Australia (ETA), for the region.

Founded in July this year by David Croxton, ETA has offices and warehousing in Sydney and Melbourne. ETA adds the console brand to a specialist portfolio that notably includes KV2 Audio, a brand with which Croxton has a long association: "I have been working globally for KV2 Audio since 2011 and prior to that, held the line in my previous distribution company Australian Audio Supplies which I sold in 2006. Having secured a group of willing brand partners early in 2013, ETA was born and officially launched at this year's Entech trade show in Sydney."

"ETA is only focusing on high quality innovative brands and currently our portfolio consists of SGM Lighting, KV2 Audio -- in association with KV2's current Australian distributor David Williams -- and now Cadac. This gives us a broad and diverse product range, which has interesting products for many different market sectors, including Cadac's primary of live sound and theatre production markets," Croxton continues.

"CADAC's innovative new mixer technology was the primary attraction for us and we look forward to growing the brand's profile in Australia. Our number one priority in selecting a mixer brand was audio quality and Cadac has truly captured the best of its legendary analog sound with its new generation of digital boards."

Speaking for Cadac, international sales manager, Ben Millson adds, "We knew of Dave through his work with KV2 Audio and his relationship with our US distributor, LIFT, who distribute KV2 in the US. He approached us at the beginning of the year about distributing Cadac in Australia and, given his extensive experience and high personal profile within the industry, we were very keen to go with his new venture. We have an existing reputation in Australia on the back of our analog heritage and we look forward to great success with the new digital series consoles in Dave's capable hands."
