Triple E to Launch New Acoustic Banner at ABTT

Entertainment equipment engineering company Triple E will unveil its newly designed and enhanced acoustic banner at the ABTT trade show in stand 27, running June 13-14, at the Old Truman Brewery in East London.

Triple E, designers of product design that enables seamless, reliable scene changes on stage, says it believes that its latest version offers significant advantages over the original design. Simpler mechanics and an improved slat design have reduced weight, and enabled a much smaller stacking distance. The new design incorporates an enclosure for both the lifting system and the stacked fabric with the bottom tray forming a closing panel.

"Our new variable acoustic system, Varibanner is the result of 15 years of experience in designing products that not only absorb sound but are also visually and architecturally pleasing," says David Edelstein, managing director at Triple E. "We're hugely excited to be introducing the industry to our new version at ABTT, which confirms our edge in this market."

With variable acoustics now a key part of modern performance space design, Triple E has been called in to apply its expertise in fabric management to meet the demands of the architects involved in designing some of the worlds leading new opera houses, concert halls, and theatres.

"The aim is to provide perfect acoustic solutions for a variety of performance situations within one multi-purpose venue," says Edelstein. "As the demands for variable acoustics are entirely specific to each venue, we offer a full consultation and specification for our acoustic solutions. Our project team will ascertain precisely the needs of the client, and then design a suitable system using either standard designs or custom builds as required. We will always take into account the building into which the acoustic banners are to be fitted. Working closely with the architects and designers we will ensure that our equipment is designed and installed to be as unobtrusive as possible."

It's hoped Triple E's enhanced acoustic banner will help both older and more recently built entertainment spaces achieve the acoustic response they require with maximum ease. "Everything we do is aimed at ease of ongoing operation and maintenance so full training is given and operating manuals supplied at the commissioning stage," says Edelstein.
