GoVision's Justin Eaton Promoted to VP, Production Services

Juston Eaton

Justin Eaton, one of the longest-tenured employees at GoVision LP, was promoted to the new position of vice president, production services, the company announced Friday. Eaton, who is credited with building the company's operations virtually from scratch and designing most of its technology infrastructure, learned about the promotion by reading the surprise announcement in the company's e-newsletter.

"Justin became part of our team very early in our company's history," said Chris Curtis, CEO of GoVision. "Since day one he has immersed himself in our business. Our success and growth can directly be attributed to his pivotal role in building our operation, along with his work ethic, knowledge, and get-it-done attitude."

In his expanded role, Eaton will oversee GoVision's equipment and engineering functions, most equipment purchasing, custom work, and other complex production needs.

"Justin is a 'Jack of all trades,' and with us taking on larger and more complex jobs all the time, his role just continues to expand," continued Curtis.

When Eaton joined the company in 2003 as one of GoVision's first hires, the company owned just two truck-mounted mobile LED units. Now with 25 employees, eight mobile video units, and more than 10,000 sq. ft. of modular LED panels, GoVision is a national supplier of LED-screen rentals.

Eaton counts GoVision's work on the last three Presidential Inaugurations, Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime shows, and the 2012 Ryder Cup as his most memorable assignments over the last 10 years.

"I've had the opportunity to work on some pretty amazing shows, some of which presented significant logistical and technical challenges," said Eaton. "But that's part of what makes my job so fun and rewarding. That, and getting to work alongside some really great colleagues here at GoVision. This is an amazing company and I'm really grateful to Chris for hiring me and providing such a great opportunity so long ago, and to everyone else that has helped me along the way."

Prior to joining GoVision, Eaton was a video engineer and project manager in the Dallas branch of AVHQ. He lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with his wife and three children.
