Musson Theatrical Announces Leadership Changes

Dinna Myers and Todd Fouyer, Musson Theatrical

While Musson Theatrical's long-time director of sales and marketing, Dinna Myers, is relocating to New Zealand in November, the company announces that she will continue to serve the company from abroad.

Musson Theatrical is an entertainment technology supplier based in California's Silicon Valley. Myers, who has been a valued contributor at Musson for nearly three decades, will continue in her role as Musson's marketing director while taking a new leap into business development for the firm. Servicing Myers' regular clients, in addition to new customers, is sales associate Todd Fouyer, who started with the company in May of 2014. He, along with sales associates Kimberly Wood, Christina Sturken, and David Lindberg, will be overseen by vice president David Rimerman.

Musson president Bob Downs says, "I'm happy that modern technology will allow Dinna to continue as part of the Musson family despite her living so far away. In fact, she'll have more time to assist in company growth and development, and to interact with customers to ensure we are meeting their needs, because she'll be relieved of her day-to-day sales responsibilities. I encourage customers who've appreciated her knowledge and expertise over the years to keep in touch with her. I'm sorry that we'll no longer see her smiling face here at Musson every day, but we look forward to frequent visits from her. We're even creating a 'designated Dinna area' where she can work during her trips back to the States."

Myers joined Musson Theatrical in 1988 to help the company create a strong retail sales program, and was appointed director of sales and marketing in 1995. She was a leader in PLASA for almost two decades, and served on its North American regional board. In 2014, she received PLASA North America's highest honor, the Eva Swan Award, for her many years of service to PLASA and the entertainment technology industry. As one of the leading women in a primarily male industry, she is committed to inspiring other women to pursue their dreams in the field of entertainment technology.

Myers has also been active in the Silicon Valley theatrical community as a lighting designer, a director, and executive director of Silicon Valley Shakespeare, which she co-founded in 1999. Although Myers recently stepped down as executive director of SVS, she will continue to support the organization's efforts from abroad.

About her upcoming life and work changes, Myers says, "I'm so proud of what I've accomplished at Musson. I often sit in a theater watching a play, or drop by a school or church, and think 'I helped build this!' As I transition across the globe to a new life with my Kiwi partner, Brent, I'm also embracing change in my career with Musson. In the solace of my new home office, I'll be able to put all my energies into business development for the company. I'll be expanding our national presence through strategic marketing initiatives, leveraging our already strong brand and reputation for extraordinary customer service and pricing, and putting programs and tools in place to help the company achieve its goals. Musson customers can expect to hear from me more often, and are always welcome to reach out to me with ideas for how we can earn your business and serve you to the best of our ability. I look forward to the future and all it holds for both me and, especially, Musson."

Fouyer is taking on Dinna's sales responsibilities. A member of USITT, IAVM, and IATSE, Fouyer is also a certified electrician through the Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP). "Dinna Myers has been an invaluable resource at Musson for over 25 years," Todd notes, "and I hope I can live up to her legacy." For her part, Myers says, "I've known Todd for over 20 years, and when looking for someone to fill my shoes in the sales department at Musson, he was my first choice. He has a strong work ethic and desire to see our customers succeed. And his quirky sense of humor is a bonus. Todd has been trailing me for the past 18 months and is now fully trained and running full-tilt meeting the needs of Musson customers. I hope you'll join me in officially welcoming him to team Musson."
