Evening Standard Award Winners Announced

Scenic designer Miriam Buether, who won a Drama Desk Award (and a Tony Award nomination) last season for the Broadway revival of Three Tall Women, received the Evening Standard Award in London for The Jungle. The Evening Standard Awards honor achievement in the London theatre.

A co-production of Good Chance Theatre with the National Theatre and Old Vic, The Jungle focuses on the short-lived, self-governing society that emerged within a sprawling refugee camp in Calais, France. The production comes to St. Ann's Warehouse in New York, where it will run December 4 through January 27.

The award for Best Play went to The Inheritance, a two-part drama inspired by E. M. Forster, by the American playwright Matthew Lopez. Best Musical went to Hamilton. The full list of winners is below.
