Merecedes display in Paris 2016.

Protec,an event solutions provider headquartered in Dubai, UAE, has entered into an agreement with Bumat Motion Systems GmbH, a manufacturer of turntables and revolves since 1948. Through this agreement, Protec will be better-positioned to provide their partners and customers with a more comprehensive product offer, and the industry's leading source in the Middle East for turntables and revolving platforms rentals for events and exhibitions held in the region.

Protec's founder and CEO, Stephen Lakin said, "Over the last year we have had more and more requests for revolves, particularly in the motor industry. We felt that working together with a world leader like Bumat would be the ideal solution to beef up our stocks with a quality product that we could offer our clients. Bumat's modular system can supply turntables of any size and carrying capacity: made of aluminium or steel, in diameters ranging from 0.1m to 55m and capable of accommodating load weights from 10kg to 450-metric tons. Our customers can now order turntables out of the standard-system or have them planned and manufactured according to their individual requirements. They can individualize any turntable with regards to carrying capacity, installation height, construction design, mode of operation, and serviceability."

As a market-leader, Protec is known for its exceptional event technical deliveries with the ability to use the latest technologies and equipment drawn from its vast portfolio. It currently owns one of the world's largest stocks of audio, video, lighting, scenic and staging, robotics, motion tracking, backline, rigging, SFX, and conference solutions equipment. It's not uncommon for the company to be seen at the heart of some of the most technically challenging shows produced in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Far East. The company only recently bolstered its lighting, video and audio departments with more investments apart from recruiting more world class talent to further reinforce their over 140 strong team. According to Lakin, this latest development with Bumat has strengthened the company's commitment to providing its clients in the region nothing short of the best products and services and should allow Protec to serve more companies with more flexible and scalable services.

This agreement between Protec and Bumat should boost the Middle East's ability further in terms equipment and expertise offered. Speaking to Bumat's managing director, Timo Burgmeier, he said, "Bumat manufactures a highly sophisticated and long lasting product. This is why we only manufacture our turntables in Germany. Different construction parts, protected by patents, ensure a high running smoothness and durability of our turntables. Bumat's engineering achievements enable our clients to take advantage of all conceivable combinations of complex revolving, rotating, elevating and traversing movements. We use of state-of-the art 3D CAD systems and our own production facilities with CNC machining centres."

Burgmeier said that he was excited with this agreement with Protec and looked forward to working with the Middle East giant to strengthen Bumat's reach and ability to offer a world class product to the region. "As an owner-run family business, we have been installing systems and managing numerous projects for well-known customers all around the globe since the company was founded in 1948. Dedicated assembly and service teams with many years of experience are at our customers' disposal wherever they may be: in Germany, Europe, or anywhere else in the world. We are very excited and we are sure that our agreement with Protec will be a positive step -- both for us as well as the Middle East region," Burgmeier added.
