Helen Hayes Award Winners Announced

The winners of the Helen Hayes Awards, given to honor theatre in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, were given at a ceremony on April 25.

In the design categories, Colin K. Bills won for the lighting design of The Master and Margarita, at Synetic Theatre. Daniel Ostling was cited for the set design of Candide, at Shakespeare Theatre Company, Anastasia Ryurikov Simes won for the costume design of Othello, also at Synetic Theatre, and Tom Teasley took the award for sound design of The Ramayana, at Constellation Theatre Company.
