Gary Burrows Appointed New Project Manager for PTB

Push The Button Ltd (PTB), the specialist electrical contractor for the entertainment industry, has appointed Gary Burrows as project manager.

Burrows joins the core PTB team of managing director Nick Ewins, designer manager Andy Phillips, operations manager Adrian Veale, and finance director Jenny Ewins, based at the company's Bristol HQ.

Though new to PTB, Burrows and the rest of the PTB team already know each other well. "I've known Gary for a long time; he served a full apprenticeship with me back in the Stage Electrics days, and we worked together there for a decade or so," says Nick Ewins. "He's been off doing other things in the time since, but we're delighted to have lured him back. He's incredibly organized and not just a really good electrician but a really good electrician who knows and understands the world of theatre. He's going to make an invaluable member of the team as the number of projects we're involved with continues to increase."

"I'm delighted to be working with Nick once again, and with all of the team at PTB," Burrows says. "They've created a great company that carries out a diverse, and really interesting, range of projects from the dimming and electrical installations people are familiar with to digital signage projects that people might not yet be. I'm looking forward to being part of all of that."

Burrows has already been busy helping with a number of PTB's cruise ship projects around the world as well has helping to plan projects on dry land for the Royal Court in London and Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

PTB opened for business in January 2012 and has been busy ever since, involved with challenging projects including the complete replacement of the dimming system at the London Coliseum, the installation of complex digital signage systems at the Birmingham Hippodrome and Theatre Royal Plymouth, the reopening of the Birmingham Rep, the creation of a new artists' lounge at London's Barbican Concert Hall, and many more projects.
