RC4 Series 3 Patent-Pending Wireless Dimming Wins Honorable Mention at LDI Debuting Product Awards

RC4Magic Series3 DMX4dim four-channel wireless dimmer

Just over a month ago, the all-new, patent-pending RC4Magic Series 3 DMX4dim from RC4 Wireless wowed judges at PLASA London and received a PLASA Award for Innovation. Two weeks ago, that same four-channel wireless dimmer made its United States debut at LDI and continued to impress. In a field heavy with great new technology, only two New Product Awards were granted: one winner and one honorable mention. The RC4Magic Series 3 DMX4dim received the honorable mention.

"For three straight exhibition days we were overwhelmed with the response to new Series 3 technology. Costumers, music tour designers, light artists, and OEM customers all saw the versatility of our new equipment and immediately knew that it solved their problems," says Sean Dane, sales director and application specialist for RC4 Wireless.

RC4 Series 3 harmonized design provides integration of numerous ground-breaking RC4 features across the three leading wireless DMX protocols. RC4 Series 3 devices are available for use with RC4Magic, LumenRadio CRMX, and Wireless Solution W-DMX, and can also be used with industry-standard wired DMX. Full RDM (remote device management) is provided.

New RC4 Series 3 wireless dimmers feature RC4 digital persistence to make LEDs look like vintage lamps, and multiple PWM frequencies for flicker-free operation on and off camera, as well as interference-free audio for guitar pickups and microphones. They also feature the RC4 flicker effects engine, DMX in/out via a miniature connector, full RDM implementation, HSL color control with RC4 ColorMatch, hobby servo motor control for animatronics and puppetry, AC wave synthesis for EL-Wire and telephone bell ringing, and more.

"For almost two years I have been steadfastly developing the sophisticated patent-pending technology we have introduced this year, filing detailed patent applications, and fine-tuning our methods and procedures for the ultimate user experience. I have poured my heart into new tools for props makers and electricians with the one goal of making their lives easier," explains James David Smith, RC4 Wireless founder and chief product developer.

"I wanted to create the most versatile wired and wireless dimmer in the world, and I think we've hit the mark," says Smith. "But don't think we're going to sit back and rest now, either. RC4 innovation continues every day, fueled by the creative requests of our many customers. Every RC4 Series 3 device is CodeLoader capable, so new features are easy to install anytime in the future. I am incredibly flattered to be recognized by the judges at PLASA and LDI this year, after more than two decades at the forefront of wireless dimming and DMX used by customers around the world."
