ESTA Launches Legacy of Safety FundESTA has launched its new Legacy of Safety Fund, an unrestricted fundraising initiative that will allow it to establish a board-managed endowment. The fund will provide ESTA with long-term sustainability and flexibility to invest where financial support is needed most. "A new long-term fund will free ESTA to focus solely on what matters: continually maintaining and improving the standards, certifications, and training to move the entertainment technology industry forward and help our members stay at the top of the field," says executive director Erin Grabe. In a statement, the association says, "As ESTA is such an integral part of the industry, it is easy to forget it exists only because people continue to invest their time, expertise, and financial support. These skilled and passionate individuals volunteer to help protect workers, promote recommended practices, and keep safety at the forefront." The fund is designed to protect and strengthen ESTA's future, keep technical standards free and accessible to all, renew and update ETCP certification exams, invest in ESTA's technology and infrastructure, and sustain essential programs. Gifts may be made in any amount, as a one-time contribution, or fulfilled over multiple years through recurring payments.
