Paco Yonque Upgrades to 1 SOUND System Paco Yonque, a steakhouse in Miraflores, Lima, Peru, has upgraded to a premium audio system incorporating 1 SOUND loudspeakers. The high-end restaurant previously struggled to achieve the desired sound and coverage; its management contacted Sonar Audio, a Lima-based design-build audio integrator, to help implement the right system. Sonar Audio's solution integrated 1 SOUND's full-range Cannon C8 and C5 loudspeakers, placed discreetly with Cannon Swivel Mount and C-Clamps. The Cannons are high-fidelity-sounding point sources that offer clear mid-high frequencies, resulting in great sonic intelligibility in hospitality applications, the company says. "1 SOUND's Cannon C8s deliver phenomenal sound; with a horn, it covers an impressive frequency range, offering incredibly even sound distribution," says Clifford Day, director, Sonar Audio. Mariana Bernal, director of Sonar Audio, explains, "We discovered 1 SOUND several years ago. The owner and creator of the brand, Lou [Mannarino], is an expert in sound, and [the company is] quite recognized in the American market. The client wanted the space to look great with the equipment and for everything to integrate perfectly. So, we used the color of the wood finish in the venue as our reference." The 1 SOUND Custom Shop was able to match the desired wood for these installed Cannons. "The audio system is very good. We have solved a challenge that existed and really improved with this system," Day says. Following the installation, Bernal adds, "The difference was amazing, and the owner is really happy with the result."
