W-DMX Installed in PR Lighting Products Now Shipping

W-DMX technology from Wireless Solution Sweden AB is now available in PR Lighting's fixtures now shipping, the new PR-5000 Spot and PR-5000 Beam based around a 1,500W Osram or Philips discharge lamp.

Steve Tulk, R&D manager of moving lights for PR Lighting, said, "We analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of our mature product lines and designed the PR-5000 series with those in mind. Among the list of achievements in this new series are: a carefully chosen set of functions, very high light output, amazing zoom range, faster and quieter movement, improved cooling system, and improved reliability. We feel this series fits the bill perfectly for lighting designers needing higher power units."

Tulk continues, "We have been using W-DMX for over a year with great service and support, a strong OEM network, optional RDM features and a high quality product. W-DMX was the only solution for our products."

Features of the PR 5000 Beam include a six-degree beam angle, very fast strobe (with 0.3-25 F.P.S double strobe/shutter blades), W-DMX wireless receiver, and is firmware updatable through a computer.

The fixture also boasts CYM color mixing plus seven dichroic color filters and linear CTO; six indexable high-speed rotating gobos and seven easily-interchangeable fixed gobos; DMX controlled focus; linearly adjustable dimmer, and iris; three-facet prism and tetragonal prism (bi-directionally, rotatable, indexable); linear frost; optional DMX512 wireless signal transmitter; input signal isolating protection; energy saving function of the ballast; built-in analyzer for easy fault finding and error messages; set-up options by internal rechargeable battery (without power connection), and modular construction for easy maintenance.

The highly-advanced PR-5000 Spot features wide beam angle, combined with the integrated W-DMX wireless receiver, a very fast strobe and the capability to update the firmware through a PC. It also contains 10 - 67-degree linearly adjustable zoom and double strobe/shutter blades (0.3-25F.P.S).

Other functions include CYM color mixing plus seven dichroic color filters and linear CTO; 12 indexable high-speed rotating gobos and seven easily interchangeable fixed gobos; DMX controlled, linearly adjustable focus (eight- or 16-bit); linearly adjustable dimmer and iris; three-facet prism (bi-directionally, rotatable, indexable); linearly adjustable frost wheel and changeable gobo effect wheel; optional DMX512 wireless signal transmitter; input signal isolating protection; energy saving function of the ballast; built-in analyzer for easy fault finding and error messages; set-up options by internal rechargeable battery (without power connection); modular construction for easy maintenance.

Both fixtures are now shipping.

Niclas Arvidsson, CEO of Wireless Solution said, "PR Lighting offers a diverse range of high quality lighting products to the market and we're proud to be chosen as their wireless DMX OEM partner. We are confident that this will enhance their already strong product range."
