LED Source Partners with Energy Star

LED Source, a LED lighting solutions provider, announces its partnership with ENERGY STAR. The goal of the partnership, the company says, is to promote LED Source's dedication to protecting our climate through its education, products, and services. LED Source and its 15 franchise offices across North America and in the Caribbean earned the coveted Energy Star Retailer seal for its efforts in effectively aligning its practices with the US Department of Energy and initiating a movement toward energy efficient LED lighting.

"We are thrilled to partner with Energy Star and continue promoting change, saving energy, and educating consumers on the benefits of quality LED lighting that protect our climate," said Marcel Fairbairn, president of LED Source.

LED Source specializes in design, support, development, project management, and financing through its retrofit, architectural, and entertainment divisions. The company supplies LED products around the world to commercial office spaces, schools, churches, theaters, art galleries, restaurants and nightclubs, special events, residential and landscape lighting, and much more. LED lighting is a quickly evolving technology that can save up to 85 percent of the energy used by incandescent bulbs and up to 50 percent of the energy used by fluorescents.

Aside from the company's dedication to promote energy efficiency through its products and services, LED Source also maintains a high standard at its own home office. Earlier this year, the company moved its corporate headquarters into a brand new 13,000-sq.-ft. facility that utilizes only Energy Star and Design Lights Consortium certified LED products. The move helped LED Source reduce costs and conserve energy while protecting our Earth. Celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and Wellington's mayor, Bob Margolis, the building became the first all-LED facility of its size in the area.

"It's important for our customers to identify the new Energy Star seal on our website as our dedication to the public to be part of the solution toward a greener planet," said Fairbairn.

Established in 1992, Energy Star is a joint program with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and US Department of Energy that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency. Partnerships with organizations, such as LED Source, have been instrumental in Energy Star's success in boosting the adoption of energy efficient products, practices, and services.
